Senior Shuttle Bus: Seniors at apartment complexes in Edwards, Hermon, DeKalb Junction, and Canton can ride a monthly shuttle bus to the Canton Farmers’ market this summer. Prompted by GardenShare’s shuttle bus for seniors last summer, the county’s new shuttle bus will bring seniors to Canton on the fourth Friday of each month. For information about schedules, call (315) 386-3276 ext 125.

Seniors can sometimes be among our most vulnerable neighbors when it comes to food security. At the same time, older adults are commonly among the most knowledgeable about cooking the fresh vegetables found at the market. What Seniors often lack is an affordable means to get to the market for shopping.
